Recently, I've been watching several tiktoks about things I had already forgotten about as time went by. They made me feel nostalgic, taking me back to my childhood when everything was easier, and I didn't have to deal with anything that could break me down.
Some of the things that came to mind were keychains and candies. For example, there were these characters called "ecolokitos", which were created in a collaboration between a cookies company and an environmental association to raise awareness about protecting the environment. I remember collecting all of them. To get one, you needed to buy five boxes of cookies and pay 10 pesos.
As for candies, there were many that people loved, but the one I miss the most is bubbaloo choco, a gum filled with chocolate chips. You could buy it just for 50 cents. I also remember snacks like toreadas chips, which used to cost only 5 pesos.
Remembering all of this made me feel emotional, but I have to thank TikTok for bringing back these memories.
